Recognizing the Signs of Hormonal Imbalances in Your Pet
Hormonal imbalances can cause a variety of issues for your pet. Pets are prone to many of the same sorts of hormonal imbalances that humans are, and the effects can be equally troubling. Consider making an appointment at the vet clinic if your pet exhibits any of the following signs of hormonal issues.
Skin problems are common indicators of hormonal problems in pets. You may notice changes in your pet’s skin color or the consistency, thickness, or distribution of his or her coat. You may begin to find clumps of fur around the home. Your pet may lick, scratch, or chew their coat more often because of the irritation. Hormonal imbalances can cause changes in your pet’s appetite, weight, and activity level. Even if these symptoms are not being caused by a hormonal problem, it is important to visit an animal hospital to find out what is to blame so that treatment can begin if needed.
