Teaching Your Dog to Sit

Buy some healthy, small treats your dog will like. A training facility, such as Zoom Room will always have a great selection of treats to choose from. When teaching your dog “sit”, the first step is to get him or her into a standing position, and without saying anything, have your dog sit by following the treatment with his nose until his bottom hits the floor. After every successful attempt, offer your dog praise. Continue to do this until he has the motion down, and you can progress further.
